You’re Making Me Blush

With spring slowly approaching, my mind has already begun making the subconscious switch to lighter colors. This is very emotionally taxing on me, because black is my go to color for everything. However in the spring and summer I have found that an all black outfit makes me look either like an moody 15 year old shopping at Hot Topic, or a waiter at the Olive Garden. Blush and nude tones have been in style for a while now, and I find them to be a neutral compromise for those of us who have a hard time letting go of black when the warmer months arrive. I also love the idea of pairing something super luxe like a fur vest with something casual like a sweatshirt-material top and jeans (or even leggings). You may or may not be able to see that I am wearing nude heels (look EXTRA close and hard, it’s hard to see because of my vampire-like skin tone), but you can easily wear this outfit with a pair of low top sneakers or even a cute flat. I’ve been in love Miu Miu’s ballerina flats with the straps, but have found a great dupe from Topshop that would have also gone great with this outfit. Hindsight is always 20-20. I’ve added a link to both shoe options if you also have translucent skin like myself, or if you don’t feel like wearing a heel.
